Prophecy threads cut a little too close to the quick, I think.

FWIW, I think the main bone of contention is the positions are totally opposite. The Amill Christians and their churches believe God is done with the Jews and The Revelation of Jesus Christ is all symbolic. Also, the belief that their church is reigning for Christ on Earth justifies an attitude of arrogance.

The Christians that do not believe God is done with the Jews read The Revelation of Jesus Christ as literal in most instances. We breakdown into different camps about a pre-trib, or mid-trib rapture but we agree there will be a rapture and Jesus will reign for 1,000 yrs.

I think the snarkiness and arrogance comes in when Christians are asked to explain Scripture and discover they really don't have a Biblical explanation.

Exactly, wmfights, and this also explains the necessity of denying the reality happening daily that is fulfilling the Bible prophecy which they have to discard in order to keep pretending that their their belief system is legitimate.

"Religious beliefs", which cannot be supported by any Scripture whatsoever, which are purely creations of fallen men and nothing more, are generally the garbage which ends up on prophecy threads and which Christians have a responsibility to correct.

And it's on every thread that concerns ongoing fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
