OK all PROVE what Pat has said is not the truth. What historically has Haiti’s role been in the area?

Did God tell Pat this? Why hasn't God struck down America for abortion?

It is not our job to prove that what Mr. Robertson said is NOT true.

He is the one making an outrageous and heretofore unreported claim. It is HIS job, and/or the job of those who support him, to prove that his claim IS true.

Prove a negative? Not really possible.

Yes, many Haitian practice voodoo that their ancestors brought over from Africa.

To blame the slide of the earth's crust on that is, at best, absurd.

No one can doubt that Christianity had something to do with the blessings of THIS COUNTRY. Nor can one doubt the lack of blessing to OTHER COUNTRIES like the plight of 22 Arab nations, comprising some 300 million people.
The Arab countries scored the lowest of all world regions as to freedom, the political process, civil liberties, political rights and media independence. Other findings:

There are 65 million illiterate adults in the Arab world, with half of Arab women unable to read or write.
There is a severe shortage of new writing: in the last 1,000 years Arabs have translated as many books as Spain translates in just one year.
Spain, a country of 41 million people boasts a greater gross domestic product (GDP) than the GDE of all the 22 Arab countries combined.
Moreover, despite the presence of oil in many Arab countries, the region remains underdeveloped — per capita income growth is just above that of sub-Saharan Africa over the past two decades.

In thinking about Haiti this morning, I was kind of thinking something along these lines. I thought that how could Haiti and other countries be so destitute and their leaders be so evil, with no power to use their God given abilities do do something, anything to help themselves. They seem to live in a different universe, I really thought they must be cursed.

Apperantly Pat was referring to something to an event that can be found in wikipedia: “The most historically important Vodou ceremony in Haitian history was the Bwa Kayiman or Bois Caïman ceremony of August 1791 that began the Haitian Revolution, in which the spirit Ezili Dantor possessed a priestess and received a black pig as an offering, and all those present pledged themselves to the fight for freedom. This ceremony ultimately resulted in the liberation of the Haitian people from French colonial rule in 1804, and the establishment of the first black people’s republic in the history of the world and the second independent nation in the Americas.”

If you watch the entire video... he was appealing to his audience to help the people of Haiti. You would think that Mr. Robertson would realize that his comment relating to Haitian history would be taken out of context. I can’t say that I have never put my foot in my mouth either.
