I can hardly imagine what we would see if it weren't for the moderators. I was around before there was a Religion Moderator. Whatever occasional disagreements I may have with him/her/them (and there are some), it was far worse before. Real malefactors have been banned (and good riddance). The prohibition on "making it personal" has reduced, but far from eliminated, the foulness.
