It's just uncanny. You quote Scripture as:
God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth...
And immediately change it to:
God must grant a person the ability to repent which leads to the truth.
It doesn't say MUST. You've changed it to MUST.
Are we supposed to just not notice this?

Are we supposed to just not notice this? I wouldn't quote it if I didn't want you to notice. I'd just say something like, "God xxxxxxxxx leading to xxxxxx." Fill in the blank.
The text of the scripture you are quoting that I quoted:
2Ti 2:24-25 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,
infers that God does not grant repentance. Otherwise this statement would make no sense. So, yes, my statement that God MUST grant repentance is entirely consisted with this scripture.
