Who are the Catholics: The Orthodox or The Romanists, or both?
Me
Posted on 01/05/2010 9:46:47 PM PST by the_conscience
I just witnessed a couple of Orthodox posters get kicked off a "Catholic Caucus" thread. I thought, despite their differences, they had a mutual understanding that each sect was considered "Catholic". Are not the Orthodox considered Catholic? Why do the Romanists get to monopolize the term "Catholic"?
I consider myself to be Catholic being a part of the universal church of Christ. Why should one sect be able to use a universal concept to identify themselves in a caucus thread while other Christian denominations need to use specific qualifiers to identify themselves in a caucus thread?

Naw.
I’m not into such repetitions very often at all.
I gather the behaviors of most Roman Catholics et al
ARE
that REPETITIOUS, however.
Troubling.

It’s amazing that there’s anyone left on the planet who is not aware of my excoriations of that group! LOL.
I didn’t like ANY rock music when I was 15 years old.
I still don’t.
I don’t even like Christian rock.

I gather the Vatican rubber Bibles dont have such Scriptures I wouldn't know anything about a Vatican rubber Bible. I asked if "mental altars" are scriptural and you posted that. Does scripture say anything about lying prostrate in front of a "mental altar" or anything about worshipping "mental altars"?

Naw.
But it sounds like a plausible version given the Vatican’s official scientific observatory office’s recent assertions about ET’s being potential converts and fellow believers.
Shocking . . . given their fallen angel natures.
However, I suspect that if the Pope ever “infallibly” begins to call such fallen angels
“our beloved space brothers,”
That the “faithful” lock step folks in the pews—particularly of the rabid clique variety . . .
will fall in line lock step and comply with the globalist demands of the critters.
Amazing to even contemplate.
Horrific to see such Vatican stepts in such directions, already.

I gather such Biblical metaphors are
. . . so askew from common Roman Catholic et al
experiences
as to be incomprehensible to the ritually faithful.
Amazing.

I never knew KISS was anywhere near such phrases! LOL.
I was just going by the
BEHAVIORS described so vividly hereon
as such
intensely cherished actions of the
ritually faithful . . . Vatican associates.
I don’t think I could name a single song Kiss was famous for. I do know they are a fairly satanic group.

Yeah, given the Vatican’s official observatory’s official recent pronouncements,
It’s PLAUSIBLE THAT THE VATICAN COULD CONCEIVABLY, IN THE NEAR FUTURE,
construct such an object as a conciliatory “altar” at which to baptize the fallen angels into the rituals of Roman Catholocism etc. That’s quite conceivable to me—given such pronouncements by the Vatican officials.
GOD HAVE MERCY . . . but I say “God have mercy’ about a LOT of Vatican outrageousness and more about those that are so vividly and slavishly “More Roman Catholic than the Pope” in their rituals and behaviors and attitudes.

The truth is that Christ "through Whom all things were made" was there from the beginning. He was offering the Eucharist to Abraham, and He was blessing Abraham's table. The Holy Spirit was there hovering over the waters before there were waters and breaking Jacob's leg. The God the Muslims and the Jews worship is our God allright, but they do not see Him fully, so they don't worship Him right. He has no partners, He has persons inside of Him. As He always had. Dang! I was totally with you until the very last part. :) I think there is a HUGE difference between being incomplete versus being totally contradictory. For example, I would expect you to say of me that I believe in the same God as you, but that I don't worship Him right because I don't participate in the Eucharist. The logic of that is fine with me. However, if I actively denied the Divinity of Christ would you still say that we worship the same God? What about this?:
John 5:22-23 : 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
Matt 10:33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.
John 10:30 I and the Father are one."
If Christ and the Father are one, and denying the Son is denying the Father, then I just don't see how I could deny Christ but worship the correct Father.
If we say that someone is worshiping the correct God then we say that's good. But we do not say it is good for people to deny the identity of Christ in their worship. That would be worshiping the wrong God.

Given the Biblical phrase
SACRIFICE OF PRAISE
what sort of altar would YOU offer a sacrifice of praise upon . . . if not a mental one???
Please describe it’s dimensions.
Would you construct it out of olive wood?
How about granite?
Limestone from Israel?
