But the Mormons I have served with in the military and on the police force and those I have known elsewhere have been patriotic and have been solid supporters of universal gun rights.

I’ll just add: There were many, many solid reasons to not vote for Mitt. Abortion, guns, taxes, liberalism, you name it. But the STUPID reason not to vote for him was his Mormonism.
