The dome of the rock is a gaudy finger in the eye of every Jew, built on top of their most holy site. The Muslims take pride in preventing any excavation or exploration of the tons of history all around.
They’re also the only ones allowed to pray there, and when they stumble across Jewish relics they destroy them.
I don’t understand why the Israelis haven’t bulldozed it and reclaimed the Temple Mount.
