The fact remains that they were stolen over the objection of Christian Orthodox Monks. You were there? There are many stories about these bones but, ultimately, the good news is that for both Orthodox and Catholics, they have been preserved and were not destroyed when Myra was overtaken by Muslim invaders. For this, we should both be grateful.
