I am asking for prayer for my marriage. My husband [name deleted by Mod for poster's own protection] has committed adultery. I know God hates divorce and this appears to be the direction he is taking. Lots of issues involved...I won't go into here..but he needs to come to repentance and to allow God to heal his heart...and mine too. The pain is almost too much to bear at this point. Our marriage needs divine healing and that is what I am asking you to pray for. God is not through with us as a couple yet...we have much work to do. Satan has tried to put a monkey wrench in the mix...but God is greater. Thanks for praying...
One more thing...I love my husband very much...my desire is for him to be restored back into right standing with God... It hurts me to know he is turning away from the Lord and that he cannot receive the blessings of God while in this rebellious state. God is working on me and my part in all of this....he has brought me to my knees. My desire is for my husband to come to repentance and for his restoration....but also to be a more godly wife for him. I have hope that God will complete what he started in both of us...and a little extra prayer is always welcomed.
When someone in my church asks for prayer...we just pray. We don’t google them to see if they are worthy of our time...we don’t talk about them...we pray. We climb into our prayer closets and take it to the Lord.
When someone is in pain...we pray..we do not dissect their request to see if it is grammatically correct or otherwise politically correct...we pray.
All these accusations are simply coming into agreement with the enemy of our souls. For he is the accuser of the brethren. My marriage problems are nothing compared to prayer need of some on this thread who are not showing the light of Christ in what they have written here. Whatever happened to unity? Whatever happened to bearing each other’s weaknesses and to bring an encouraging word to those whose faith is less than our own?
This thread has turned into a free for all..it is ugly...I am sorry I ever brought my prayer request to this forum.

It's got to be the season. The worst fights hubby and I *ever* had were right around Thanksgiving. (Ironic, huh?)
I am a retired Marine. Your son is STILL a Marine, though he may no longer be serving. Excepting only sleazebags like John Murtha, there are no ex or former Marines. Once we earn the title, it’s ours even into death!

The pain is tremendous - I’ve been there leenie. I’ll keep you in my prayers.
I didn’t know that...but then again...I am not a Marine..LOL Good to know he still keeps the title. I am very proud of him.
