It's utterly amazing that inherently unprovable historical theories such as the documentary hypothesis, redaction criticism, and form criticism have conquered all the sectors of chr*stianity except for the "independent Baptist, KJV only" types caricatured in the article.

There is no way to prove any historical theory outside of building a time machine. All these theories continue to exist because "scholars" want to believe them.

Germany may have lost World War I, but its academic theories have conquered the world.

I examine the spirits, and retain what is good. There’s much that is useful in these methods.

A surgeon’s scalpel is a tool for good in skilled hands, a tool for evil in the hands of a murderer. It’s all in how you use the tools.

Sola Scriptura, KJV-Only, Fundamentalist Baptists have more in common with Islam that with historical Christianity. And that’s history for you. ;-)
