Rather, the Church teaches that because
validly baptized non-Catholics
are real members of the Body of Christ,
they share in the life of the Blessed Trinity
and therefore share with Catholics the hope of salvation.

It’s up to God of course, but I’m sure the answer is “Yes.”

If one believes the doctrines of the Roman Catholic church, as well as many protestant cults, they are probably not saved as they place they preach another Jesus than the Scriptures preach.
I was a Catholic until I read the Scriptures and kneeled in my house and asked Jesus the Son of God to save me from my sin and make me one of His own.
1COR 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1COR 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

1COR 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1COR 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I am immediately suspect about ANY church or demonination which claims only their members can be saved.

The thief on the cross next to Jesus was told that that day he would enter paradise with Him, and all he said was, “Lord, remember me when you enter your kingdom”, a simple statement of faith in Jesus as God dying on the cross FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD.

Any church which claims only their members can be saved is a CULT.

How many virgins does a martyr get if he only maims an infidel? I think the rule is you only get into heaven if you actually kill a non muslim but you get the virgins as a bomus if the infidel is a Jew or an American..

God is all just and all merciful.
So in the end every person gets exactly what he or she deserves—whatever it is.

In light of this hardest fact,theological debate is interesting but ultimately moot.

Thank you for posting this beautiful and illuminating article. I particularly appreciate the modest and Lewis-like tone in which it is written. This of course accords perfectly with what I have been reading recently in my perusals of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It’s a comfort.

**Can Non-Catholics Be Saved?**

I would say that even a Romanist can be saved!

as a southern baptist raised in the church in the 60s when it was arguably more fundamental we were never taught Catholics were going to hell

we really did not talk much about catholics so few being around except on the coast

some folks i did hear voice suspicion over the concept of God’s representative on earth which has sort of always been the rub but that was about it

They cannot be saved.

However, they CAN be invested.

I believe that all Christians will go to Heaven but that subjects to the Roman Pontiff are going to get the best seats.

Can Non-Catholics Be Saved?

Personally, I'm with Buddha on this one:

“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.” -Buddha

I can either believe what the Bible itself tells me, OR I can believe some anonymous internet guy who posts some Catholic dogma from another anonymous internet guy.

The anonymous internet guys lose that battle everytime.
