The church website seems to be down. I wonder why?

The King James Bible, Or the “Authorized” version is just a politically correct, government approved knockoff of the Genevia Bible. The Geneva Bible, which was the most popular Bible with the common people, had marginal notes by Calvanists that King James I of England didn’t like.

I used to be a critic of the various version, but I realized that there are several reliable versions and it is more important to READ the Bible than analyze and compare the various versions.

I suppose that will include the Douay version as well.

They should be burning Obomba, Holder, Baucus, Snowe, Collins and Specter in effigy as they are, after all, haters of America and organized religion.

From the Church website:

We Believe That salvation Is Totally A Gift Of God brought to man by grace through faith, not of works. Salvation is offered to all men, that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins.......

Not a Calvinist, apparently........ :-)

Also, this made me smile......

We Believe That Satan Is A Person

I guess what he's trying to say is that "we believe Satan truly exists" or something similar. I'll cut 'em some slack, though. He's been in business for only 25 years. Dogma usually needs a little more time to develop.

This is what happens when you get rid of the Pope: some illiterate sets himself up as “pope” and proceeds to rule “infallibly” using only the “plain sense of the Scriptures, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit”.

The whole idea that “I don’t need no furriner pope tuh tell me whut thuh Bible sez” is just the modern version of the spirit of rebellion that led to the Fall of Man.

The truth, of course, is that every Christian needs someone to tell him or her what the Bible says. That’s why Jesus established a Church, and established Peter as the earthly head of that church. Without Peter and his successors to define what Christianity is, it’s anything goes.

I hate to break it to these lads but their copies of the KJV are themselves corrupt. They don’t have all the books that were in the KJV in 1611 and there have also been many revisions since 1611 to the KJV.

I’d love to take a copy of the original in there and watch their heads spin.

Even though I might agree with some of the book choices, I definitely disagree with the Bible burning.

This is crazy!

King James Pslam 46: 46 words in “shake”; 46 words from the end, “spear”. Shakespeare was 46 years old.

Hey, if the KJV was good enough for Jesus and Paul, it should be good enough for everybody, right?
