Laodicea was a church too.
Rev 3:20
What, in your opinion, makes it a vendetta?
An example from one of your posts: But eschatology is not the only area where Smith is just plain wrong. Insulation and lack of accountability, not to mention nepotism, breed bad doctrine. Its all about power.
You impute a lot of bad things beyond eschatology, things that don't have much basis in fact or reality. Whether you like it or not, he is a great teacher, very thorough and sound with his teaching, and has had the good fortune to bring a lot of people to Christ. His contemporary music ministries have been the best for decades as well.
Why you want to be so against a record like that I cannot comprehend.
Hi Corin!
How are things?
Smiths issues, personal and doctrinal, have been documented in many places, including this site. Even a cursory reading would suggest that the autonomy afforded Smith as archbishop of the Calvary denomination is, in large part, the cause for these problems. There is no one to hold Smiths feet to the fire on false doctrine. Hes associated himself with people of questionable moral and doctrinal character.
Im not into CCM. Personally, I think it is less than useless, but some folks find it enjoyable for a variety of reasons. I would not judge the effectives of a pastor based on any relationship to a musical genre.
