Today is also the birthday of my mother, Maxine, who was born on the same day that St Maximilian Kolbe passed from this life!

St. Max's feast day has a special meaning this year, what with all those stubborn Nazi ideas popping up like green shoots...

Seeing the statue of the Immaculata (Mother) at St. Maximillian Kolbe’s printing press industry and monastery was also great on my pilgrimage three summers ago.
