50 Reasons Why We Are Living In The End Times: Part 1
Lamb and Lion Ministries Blog ^ | 13 JULY 2009 | Dr. David R. Reagan

Posted on 07/25/2009 2:40:04 AM PDT by Quix

The Bible says we cannot know the time of the Lord's return (Matthew 25:13). But the Scriptures make it equally clear that we can know the season of the Lord's return (1 Thessalonians 5:2-6):

"You yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night... But you brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night or darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober."

This passage asserts that Jesus is coming like "a thief in the night." But then it proceeds to make it clear that this will be true only for the pagan world and not for believers. His return should be no surprise to those who know Him and His Word, for they have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to give them understanding of the nature of the times.

Furthermore, the Scriptures give us signs to watch for — signs that will signal that Jesus is ready to return. The writer of the Hebrew letter referred to these signs when he proclaimed that believers should encourage one another when they see the day of judgment drawing near (Hebrews 10:25-27). Jesus also referred to the end time signs in His Olivet Discourse, given during the last week of His life (Matthew 24 and Luke 21). Speaking of a whole series of signs which He had given to His disciples, He said, "When you see all these things, recognize that He [the Son of Man — that is, Jesus] is near, right at the door" (Matthew 24:33).

A Personal Experience

Every time I think of "Signs of the Times," I am reminded of a great man of God named Elbert Peak. I had the privilege of participating with him in a Bible prophecy conference held in Orlando, Florida in the early 1990's. Mr. Peak was about 80 years old at the time.

He had been assigned the topic, "The Signs of the Times." He began his presentation by observing, "Sixty years ago when I first started preaching, you had to scratch around like a chicken to find one sign of the Lord's soon return."

He paused for a moment, and then added, "But today there are so many signs I'm no longer looking for them. Instead, I'm listening for a sound — the sound of a trumpet!"

The First Sign

One hundred years ago in 1907 there was not one single, tangible, measurable sign that indicated we were living in the season of the Lord's return. The first to appear was the Balfour Declaration which was issued by the British government on November 2, 1917.

This Declaration was prompted by the fact that during World War I the Turks sided with the Germans. Thus, when Germany lost the war, so did the Turks, and the victorious Allies decided to divide up both the German and Turkish empires.

The Turkish territories, called the Ottoman Empire, contained the ancient homeland of the Jewish people — an area the Romans had named Palestine after the last Jewish revolt in 132-135 AD.

In 1917 Palestine included all of modern day Israel and Jordan. In the scheme the Allies concocted for dividing up the German and Turkish territories, Britain was allotted Palestine, and this is what prompted the Balfour Declaration. In that document, Lord Balfour, the British Foreign Secretary, declared that it was the intention of the British government to establish in Palestine "a national home for the Jewish people."

The leading Evangelical in England at the time was F. B. Meyer. He immediately recognized the prophetic significance of the Declaration, for he was well aware that the Scriptures prophesy that the Jewish people will be regathered to their homeland in unbelief right before the return of the Messiah (Isaiah 11:11-12).

Meyer sent out a letter to the Evangelical leaders of England asking them to gather in London in December to discuss the prophetic implications of the Balfour Declaration. In that letter, he stated, "The signs of the times point toward the close of the time of the Gentiles... and the return of Jesus can be expected any moment."

Before Meyer's meeting could be convened, another momentous event occurred. On December 11, 1917 General Edmund Allenby liberated the city of Jerusalem from 400 years of Turkish rule.

There is no doubt that these events in 1917 marked the beginning of the end times because they led to the worldwide regathering of the Jewish people to their homeland and the reestablishment of their state.

Since 1917

Since the time of the Balfour Declaration, we have witnessed throughout the 20th Century the appearance of sign after sign pointing to the Lord's soon return. There are so many of these signs today, in fact, that one would have to be either biblically illiterate or spiritually blind not to realize that we are living on borrowed time.

I have personally been searching the Bible for years in an effort to identify all the signs, and it has not been an easy task to get a hold on them. That's because there are so many of them, both in the Old and New Testaments.

I have found that the best way to deal with them is to put them in categories, and in doing that, I have come up with six categories of end time signs. We will explore these catetories beginning in Part 2 of this series.

Reformed Covenant Theology misses the boat completely in falsely declaring all prophecy of the Great Tribulation was fulfilled in 70AD.

I'd be interested to see a list of what authors in that field you've actually read, that you make a statement like that.

Who've you read?

Does anyone see the probable Israeli attack on Iran as the trigger to the beginning of the end?

Possibly, but not in a way you would like.

I see speculation in dispenstaionalist circles that the deathtoll from such a war would be quite disproportionate. 1-200K Israeli, vs. ~20M Iranians.

Should this come to pass, and Israel is involved with the largest human mass death event in recorded history, the Christian Zionists would doubtless continue to offer unqualified support of the modern secular state of Israel. On their account the church will be viewed by the world as bloodthirsty loons, well worthy of suppression. The CZs might, ironically, become the cause of "the camp of the saints" (which would be the church) being besieged and surrounded.

Mystifying how some folks and perspectives can pontificate with so much abject irrelevant drivel as one sees for several posts above.

Perhaps there’s a subscription to theological drivel and nonsense that folks get hypnotically seduced into????

Puzzling.

Leaked FEMA Training Video - Domestic Terrorism

Calling our founding fathers terrorists.
This seems to be a technique that takes advantage of youths who’s minds are absorbing this rhetoric as the gospel truth.

Even if only a small percent are manipulated to the extreme, the potential of no conscience chain of command order execution by these pre-conditioned soldiers could give credence to the issue;
Would our brothers/sisters/sons/daughters active military turn against their own families by merely following orders, void of any conscience regard of it’s legitimacy or nature?

THE Pentagon’s enthusiasm for non-lethal crowd-control weapons appears to have stepped up a gear with its decision to develop a microwave pain-infliction system that can be fired from an aircraft.

The device is an extension of its controversial Active Denial System, which uses microwaves to heat the surface of the skin, creating a painful sensation without burning that strongly motivates the target to flee. The ADS was unveiled in 2001, but it has not been deployed owing to legal issues and safety fears.

Nevertheless, the Pentagon’s Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate (JNLWD) in Quantico, Virginia, has now called for it to be upgraded. The US air force, whose radar technology the ADS is based on, is increasing its annual funding of the system from $2 million to $10 million.

The transmitting antenna on the current system is 2 metres across, produces a single beam of similar width and is steered mechanically, making it cumbersome. At the heart of the new weapon will be a compact airborne antenna, which will be steered electronically and be capable of generating multiple beams, each of which can be aimed while on the move.
The new antenna will be steered electronically and is capable of generating multiple heat beams

The ADS has been dogged by controversy. Jürgen Altmann, a physicist at Dortmund University in Germany, showed that the microwave beams can cause serious burns at levels not far above those required to repel people. This was verified when a US airman was hospitalised with second-degree burns during testing in April 2007.

The airborne version will not make it any less contentious. “Independent of the mode of production, with this size of antenna the beam will show variations of intensity with distance - not just a simple decrease - up to about 500 metres,” says Altmann. Shooting it on the move with any accuracy will be difficult, he adds.

Dave Law, head of the technology division of the JNLWD, says the new antenna will operate at the lowest possible effective power level and will have a sophisticated automated target-tracking system.

In a recent cost-benefit analysis, the US Government Accountability Office rated the ADS worst out of eight non-lethal weapons currently in development.

“Would our brothers/sisters/sons/daughters active military turn against their own families”

I'm sure this has been well thought out by DHS and military planners.

Foreign troops

Mercinaries

Deploying troops in unfamiliar parts of the country, not near their hometowns.

Personally, if it came down to that, I'd perfer foreign troops. Those little blue berets make excellent targets.

‘Two Groups, Which One are You?

‘In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will GOD appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Isaiah 26:1,2

‘Oh what a day that will be! A day when the righteous nation of YAHWEH’S faithful enter through the gates of the NEW JERUSALEM! With salvation appointed for the walls and bulwarks a city under the complete reign and dominion of JESUS CHRIST, the KING of kings and the LORD of lords!

‘The day comes when we will be able to say to our LORD, O LORD our GOD, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory perish. Isaiah 26:13,14

‘The day will come when the unrighteous regimes of man will cease to exist. No longer to rule and reign with a heavy hand, no longer capable of suppressing, suffocating, or burdening the children of the MOST HIGH. JESUS CHRIST has come to set the captives free and in the coming days another release from Egypt will be under way.

‘To be set free we must be loosed from the chains that hold us, to be loosed we must give ourselves wholly over to JESUS CHRIST, being washed in HIS blood, and being preserved for HIS glory! How can we be truly free if we still dwell in Egypt? How can we be free if we still sleep with the harlot’s of Babylon? How can we profess to be one thing when our lives tell a different story? It starts with the blood and the understanding that the blood is the separation from one house to the next, one person from the next, and the ultimate difference between the coming hour of testing or the hour of unspeakable terror.

‘Two groups will emerge in the coming days. The first group has been chosen since before the foundations of the world, though chosen, their free will has brought them to embrace the SON of GOD, these will endure a great testing, supernatural provision, and receive an out pouring of the HOLY SPIRIT to see them through the final hour. This group will receive peace in the midst of chaos, a peace that exceeds all understanding, and a people who will emerge from the fire untouched and spotless.

‘The second group will be a people who have chosen to follow the pursuits of flesh, a people who mocked and scoffed at the hour they were told would come. These will live in unspeakable terror, having rejected the TRUTH to follow a lie, having rather slept with the harlots of Babylon in the houses of Egyptians than become separated and made whole, preserved from the fire. These will have no peace, peace in not found in the carnal mind of man, it is not obtainable outside of the hand of YAHWEH, these will quiver and shake, many will die from fear alone. If only they had turned from their wickedness and embraced the TRUTH of JESUS CHRIST.’

Excerpted, go to prayersforthepeople.com see in its entirety,

[see Isaiah 26:5-12]

and more excerpted,

‘I have searched for the words to explain the coming days, but in such days words have not been created to adequately describe such horrors.

‘Men, women, and children will physically come face to face with the enemy, those who come to steal, kill, and destroy. Young and old will be confronted with the depths of Hades, the wicked that follow after Death.

‘The media will call it extraterrestrial encounters, but those with eyes will see the truth and know these are abominations of a time history has purposefully caused the populace to forget, blinding and deceiving the masses into accepting and worshiping the wicked beings once again.

‘All the horror films can’t even touch the panic soon to grip the hearts of the wicked. It troubles me and grieves me to think of all who will perish; having rejected the truth, please don’t be one of these. I don’t care about my reputation, I don’t care if I am called crazy or stupid, persecute me if you like, whatever.... I only speak what I have to speak because a message has been placed within my lips that I cannot contain. I proclaim such things in the hope that not as many will perish and more will be spared.

‘Soon we will understand better the word fall.

‘Fall- v.i. [fell, fallen, falling] 1, drop or sink from a higher to a lower level; descend rapidly; decline, 2, (sometimes with down) tumble to the ground, esp. after stumbling. 3, die. 4, come by chance. 5, occur. 6, pass from one condition to another. 7, (with away) decline. 8, (with for) be deceived by. 9, (with for) become enamored of. 10, (with in) take one’s place in line; hence agree. 11, (with out) quarrel. 12, (with through) not come to exist; miscarry. -n 1, the act or result of falling. 2, (often cap) the season from Sept. 22 to Dec 21; autumn. -fall guy (slang) victim; scapegoat; dupe. -falling sickness, epilepsy. -falling star, meteorite. -fall off, 1, decrease; diminish. 2, separate; withdraw.

‘Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:3,4

‘Seek ye first the kingdom of GOD.

‘God bless, daniel’

End of excerpt.

That God’s people will not be in the dark as to the time of return of his son when it is near, there can be no supportable argument. - This seems to make many uncomfortable, in as much as they personally have no idea when he will return.

The main reason for this discomfort is a lack of Bible study. There are many “doctrines of devils” that act as enablers to this lack of awareness, the chief of which are Covenant theology, and Amillenialism, neither of which stand up to even the most cursory logical analysis of the scriptures.

All of God’s coming events are foretold in his appointed feasts and times. This should be a powerful clue as to how to search and prepare for these events.

Nothing in dispensationalism predicts the Rapture in 1981, however, Reformed Covenant Theology misses the boat completely in falsely declaring all prophecy of the Great Tribulation was fulfilled in 70AD.

That's funny.

The secret, pre-trib rapture is a necessary consequence of the dispensational system, key to which is the radical (heretical) view of the distinction between Israel and the Church.

The pre-trib rapture, not being plainly or literally taught in the Bible, is an outgrowth from within dispensationalism made believable due to the view that God has future wrath in store for the national Israel which the Church is to avoid. Further, this distinction results from dispensationalism's two people view, i.e., Israel being a physical people of God and the Church being the spiritual people of God.

The 1981 rapture hullabaloo is perfectly consistent with the idea that the 1948 constitution of secular Israel had prophetic significance, and that passages like Matthew 24 involving the parable of the fig tree and idea that the “great tribulation” would come upon the generation that witnessed the budding of the fig tree (aka the establishment of secular Israel).

The most important sign in Matthew has to be the restoration of the Jews to the land in the rebirth of Israel. Even the figure of speech “fig tree” has been a historic symbol of national Israel. When the Jewish people, after nearly 2,000 years of exile, under relentless persecution, became a nation again on 14 May 1948 the “fig tree” put forth its first leaves. Jesus said that this would indicate that He was “at the door,” ready to return. Then He said, “Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place” (Matthew 24:34, NASB). What generation? Obviously, in context, the generation that would see the signs—chief among them the rebirth of Israel. A generation in the Bible is something like forty years. If this is a correct deduction, then within forty years or so of 1948, all these things could take place. Many scholars who have studied Bible prophecy all their lives believe that this is so. [Hal Lindsey,The Late Great Planet Earth, pp 53-54]
A whole host of popular dispensationalists, including Lindsey, Chuck Smith, and Edgar Whisenant, advanced this teaching. It was widely accepted within the dispensational community at the time. In fact, I am not aware of any noted dispensationalists who disagreed with the teaching to oppose it publicly.

The popularity of dispensationalism owes much to the biblical illiteracy of the folks in the pew. It is not really a thinking man's eschatology. Any chimp can make a list of 50 things and, using dispensational techniques, find support for those 50 things as “end time” evidences from the Bible. It has that very thing in common with Jehovah's Witnesses and other cults. They rely on the ignorance of those who listen and believe.

FWIW . . . on a frequent alternative news site topic . . .

An interesting thread and pic from ATS:

Re purported prison cars

pic:

http://www.rense.com/general86/carr1.jpg

ATS thread:

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread485648/pg1

ORIGINAL CAPTION: Your fiat money at work building these bi-level prison cars (by the thousands according to the San Francisco Chronicle) built by KBR (Kellogg, Brown and Root, a subsidiary of Halliburton). These were parked on the tracks behind a pecan orchard managed by one of my friends in Texas a few months back. They were completely hidden from the highway that paralleled the orchard. The Fetid Feds only moved them at night. It has been reported that some of these beauties have been prepositioned in each state. (Submitted by Ric H.)

another poster, KSPigpen, says:

Do you have a link saying these cars were actually made by the Haliburton subsidiary? They look a lot like car carriers.

I don’t see why FEMA, or anyone else would need to make special cars for herding folks into a camp, or something...there are plenty of cargo containers already. Why waste any of their money to make things more humane for anyone else?

They look a lot like car carriers.

= = =

A third poster, ManBehindTheMask, adds:

Yeah ive seen these a lot as ive lived in several towns with really active train transports.

What they are is for transporting vehicles, thats the kind of train car it is, there are also stock (cattle cars) designed very similar. Now, if they are being used for something else who knows.

But given what i know of Texas (im from there) and the location of the ones you mentioned, i would say they are probably being used, or WILL be used for that, however, with all the crazy stuff going on in the last year and its escalation, who knows.

I think its very important that we be objective regardless, I also believe its safer to sleep with one eye open nice find

= = =

Original poster, samhouston1886 , replies:

I have nothing further than those images, I know this is the home of the skeptic and that’s why I posted them here.

I am not friend of the NWO and I believe that it is very real but I also know that the net is packed with liars and people that do not know what they are talking about.

The purpose of this post is to find an alternate explanation other than the one that is provided with the images.

= = =

followed by the very logical:

ShadowMaster ‘s post:

Those are for moving cars. What you are seeing is the latest version and suppose to be more secure than the older ones. The reason you see them sitting all over the place or left on a siding somewhere is because as a Nation we are not selling many cars these days.
