I was not completing the Our Father chain before this swine flu thing. Plus I show my kids in picture books how Jesus prayed with His hands together so they should too.
Our priest talked with me today and said that as of this weekend, the cup would be offered, but it would be a totally voluntary reception.
He didn’t say anything about the Our Father and the Sign of Peace, however.
I don’t do the Our Father with holding hands, I just fold my hands, bow my head, close my eyes and say it. It’s a prayer between God and me.
