"The White House wanted a simple backdrop of flags and pipe and drape for the speech, consistent with what they've done for other policy speeches," she wrote.

Then why do it at the University? It was simply a demonstration of power and they fell for it.

The Jesuits are the daddies of liberation theology.

This is no surprise.

I blame them more than 000.

He said "five pillars." If this was Match Game, the next words would be "of Islam": \ In Sunni Islam, the Five Pillars of Islam (Arabic: أركان الإسلام) is the term given to the five duties incumbent on every Muslim. These duties are Shahada (Profession of Faith), Salat (Prayers), Zakat (Giving of Alms), Sawm (Fasting during Ramadan) and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Pillars_of_Islam

He wanted a huge painting of Allah looking over him. It was delayed by a US Postal worker taking a break. Next time the messiah’s handlers will use FedX.

The rock he is referring to is the Dome of the Rock or the third holiest site in Islam.

Obama wouldn’t allow any other Messiahs in the room.

Catholic universities slumping towards dhiminitude for the Islamist. Pathetic.

Number one, new rules for Wall Street that will reward drive and innovation, not reckless risk-taking -- (applause);
He offered no specifics, but I think few would argue that Wall Street couldn't use some rule revision, both in corporate governance and with regard to the leveraged products.

number two, new investments in education that will make our workforce more skilled and competitive -- (applause);
That makes sense unless of course you invite foreign countries to partake in the same education, thus creating our competitors. Or unless you give the unions more power while simultaneously maintaining free trade in a way that allows production processes to move overseas. Education isn't going to help you if you continue to do those things. You're just running a free school for foreigners and not helping America.

number three, new investments in renewable energy and technology that will create new jobs and new industries -- (applause);
Invest in renewable energy and technology, but don't bet the farm on it. Make sure that you have enough proven viable energy sources to run this country without OPEC, and invest in renewable energy as well. That means build nuclear and drill.

"number four, new investments in health care that will cut costs for families and businesses;
How exactly are these "investments" going to cut costs? All I've heard so far is more spending.

and number five, new savings in our federal budget that will bring down the debt for future generations. (Applause.)
Where and when? And is that relative to the George Bush budget or the Obama $3.5 Trillion monstrosity?

Makes me wonder who Obama is.

At the name of Jesus every knee must bend...

Obama is definitely a tool of the one.

Georgetown must know that removing the name of Christ for expediency bodes badly for them. Too many martyrs have died for their right to display His name.

This is very very troubling.

Nero failed to stamp out, burn out and kill Christians and thus the name of Jesus — Obama’s a piker compared to the lunacy of Nero.

"Georgetown University says it covered over the monogram “IHS”--symbolizing the name of Jesus Christ—because it was inscribed on a pediment on the stage where President Obama spoke at the university on Tuesday and the White House had asked Georgetown to cover up all signs and symbols there. As of Wednesday afternoon, the “IHS” monogram that had previously adorned the stage at Georgetown’s Gaston Hall was still covered up--when the pediment where it had appeared was photographed by CNSNews.com. “In coordinating the logistical arrangements for yesterday’s event, Georgetown honored the White House staff’s request to cover all of the Georgetown University signage and symbols behind Gaston Hall stage,” Julie Green Bataille, associate vice president for communications at Georgetown, told CNSNews.com. "

The agenda is becoming clearer.

Why is it still covered up? You can hardly see it in the photos where Laura Bush was speaking.

"It is more for camera quality than anything else," he surmised. "They don't want distractions that would make the eye wander. I don't think this is motivated by theology, but by communications strategy."

Of course, one might hesitate to call this man a liar, but the alternative would be to accept this clearly ridiculous statement as fact.

"All of which begs a simple question: upon what, exactly, is Georgetown built? And who, exactly, does it serve? And for what end?"

That's becoming clearer too.

You can read Prof. Carroll Quigley's 1967 autopsy and account of the liberal Harvard secularization model for Catholic colleges published in The Hoya here:

He wants to divide the Catholic church between real catholics and those who claim to be catholic but follow few of the church’s teachings. He is using social justice to drive a wedge into the church. So far, he was been very successful. Several of my priests, who are very good men, are willing to give Obama a pass on abortion because they believe he will further the cause of social justice.
