With all the charity I can muster at the moment, I must say that if this is a good example of how beginning Catholics get educated in the Faith, it's little wonder that so many of them haven't a clue what it's about at the end of the day.
The three fold order of ministry in the New Testament is deacon, prebyter, and episcopos- servant, elder and overseer. There is no sacrificial priesthood in the Church because there is no need for it. Christ took care of that once and for all on the Cross.
Correction- there is a sacrifical priesthood in the Church, and every believer is in it. This is the priesthood of all believers. In Old Testament days, believers were called to sacrifice a goat or some other animal for their sins. Now, Christ calls believers not to bring animals for burnt offerings, but to take up their crosses and follow Him. “I have been crucified with Christ, the old has passed away and the new has come”. We place our sins upon Christ’s Cross and we choose to live for Him.
