The young men spoke in the past tense. i.e. It occurred at a time before. Not suprising because it happened just before the women arrived - immediate past. Both Mk and Luke, phrases are aorist indicative - The indicative mood is a simple statement of fact. The recentness of the resurrection is reflected in Jesus telling Mary not to hold him (John 20:17). If the resurrection had occured much earlier - say during the night, Jesus' statement would not have made sense, since there would have been time.

I dont think the Bible gives an exact time to the Resurrection, whether it happened at 6:01pm or 6:01am is ultimately moot, IMO. We know it happened on Sunday at some point.
But I do like the poetic nature of Christ rising at sunrise as the Sun rises in the east and breaks through the darkness of the world.
John 1:4-5, 9
In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it... The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
