Parse it out and show where Taylor was saying talking about the Mormons not doing well in their faith as opposed to what is clearly said about Christianity (especially in your expanded quote).

Wrong again Fred. Using that portion makes it even more clear that Taylor was attacking Christianity - Us (mormons) better than those Christians and Christianity. Come on Fred - parse it out. Paragraphs commonly are self contained Fred and if a thought or idea is to be continued to the next, there is usually a transition sentence. Guess what Fred, the thought ends with But how can we teach others a lesson which we have not learned ourselves? . The next paragraph - the one in contention - is a diatribe against Christianity - that is its internal subject. Put as much lipstick on your pig of an interpretation Fred, it is still a pig.
