Well, the article did mention those positions. And I realize that there are some differences. But, as the article said, this shouldn’t be cause for “separation” from other believers. I think that we can keep it civil and orderly.
I personally see it as pre-trib, but I do understand that others may have a different understanding and I would like to get down to the “crux of the matter” as to what causes some to think one way versus another, and see what we come up with.
As long as the Rapture is not denigrated in and of itself and we are all respectful, that should be okay (I hope... :-) ... ) ...
Many post trib people get quite angry about the pre-trib Rapture, and seem determined to suffer, accusing the other side of “escapism.” The scholar you posted, Dr. Reagan, is a proponent of the pre-trib philosophy.
Most of the pastors I know are amillennial. They just figure God will handle things and they don’t need to worry about it. They also don’t believe in literal prophecy fulfillment, aside from the Second Coming itself.
Thank you Star Traveler and Moderator for this effort. And forgive me Star Traveler for asking if you are “worried” I know you are not.
You know, if I could use one word with regards to the rapture, that word would be “antisipation” !
