With all respect, instead of obtaining knowledge about God why don’t you seek to know God. Ask him. He knows more about this than freepers.

Can He create a hamburger too big for him to eat? if He can then what’s the point?

No, it's simply a logical impossibility.
There cannot exist two omnipotent beings.

“is God unable to create someone equal to Himself”
Same as “can god create a rock he can’t lift???”
not relevant, not the point, sophistry. if you meant it honestly, then just go read the Bible or do some genuine research, because that kind of question is just dumb.
To: fproy2222
So, if you’ve been told this at FR does that mean you believe it?
To: fproy2222
Fred,
It is a logical fallacy to there could be TWO or MORE omnipotent Gods (all powerful).
Neither would then be omnipotent.
ampu
... unless you want to define God down to something less than who He is presented as in the Bible. For instance, if you want to define God as the Greeks did - a pantheon of competing gods who were more powerful than humans, but competing with each other (read the Illiad). The Judeo Christian God is omnipotent.

There cannot exist two omnipotent beings. put "omnipresent and eternal" in there as well, and that's my sense of it too. But it's nice to think about that hamburger somebody else mentioned.

It might be a question that makes no sense. There cannot be two beings who are the most powerful being in the universe.
To: fproy2222
That question has all the intellectual depth of a dog chasing its tail.

The Christian trinity theory defies monotheism by separating God into three separate forms that are co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent elements of one God Head, existing simultaneously.
By separating God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and considering them three separate deities that are all different God elements of one Triadic God in various simultaneous forms of being, you are considering Polytheism, the belief in multiple Gods.

One God, one faith, one baptism.
The God of Israel, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, these three are one Godhead.

I have been told, here at FR, that God only creates lesser beings. Is this because he chooses not to create someone equal to Himself, or is God unable to create someone equal to Himself? Why don't you ask Him? You can toss in the question concerning the numeric value of angels on the head of a pin. Such questions don't really serve any purpose other than as mental wedges aimed at the faithful.
While you are asking questions, stop by your local university physics department and ask them to give you just one explanation for the creation of matter from nothing. If they don't have one, ask them for just one explanation for the infinite existence of matter.
