I like to shop at Target for lots of things. Never go to Walmart. Some of the reason is accessibility. The Walmart in our city is so crowded both with shoppers and with merchandise, that it is hard to get around inside. Also their parking lots is too small.

Target stores are usually neater looking and easier to navigate. My impression is that Target merchandise is a higher level than Walmart. I don’t buy many clothes at Target, however.

Target over Walmart any day.

Walmart attracts trailer parks. Target attracts hot moms. ;-)

Agree completely. Target is my #1 favorite store (well, besides Guitar Center, ha). I've even taken to buying most of my cloths at Target lately. I despise my local Walmart; the aisles are cluttered and impossible to navigate and the checkout lines are usually intolerable. There is, however, a new super-walmart that opened in the next town that I do like.

The problem with Chinese-made stuff is inescapable. I do try whenever possible to buy American, to the point that I spent $1000 on an American Fender Stratocaster guitar rather than $400 on a virtually identical Mexican-made Strat. Having the same problem with amps - I want a small tube amp but unless you want to spend a small fortune on a custom boutique amp, they're all made in China. I'll probably build my own from an American-made kit.

It's virtually impossible to buy American for every-day household goods, no matter where you shop.

Will take Target over Walmart any day. The merchandise is better, the employees are nicer, and it’s just an all around better experience. I love the kids’ clothes at Target and have picked up a few tops for myself, too. Loved their maternity clothes...

You would shop there even if they support Planned Parenthood?

At least Wal-Mart has grants for Christians!
