It is a sin-cursed world in which we live, and of the many diseases that the Fall has wrought on us - amongst the cruelest has to be these mental illnesses. We don't understand them. We don't know how to treat them. And the poor person who suffers through them is living a nightmare.
I am sure that Peter and the rest of the family is traumatized and grieving, but it is wonderful to know that we have a loving LORD and Saviour. His mercies are bountiful, and He pitieth His people. We know that in this life we walk in a corruptible body -- but the promised hope is that in Christ Jesus we will put on incorruption. We rest on HIM whose Word is True and Faithful.

You know what it is like to have lost a son at the hands of ones that you love. I pray that you will wrap your loving arms around this family and give them the peace, strength and courage they need to face the day. I pray that your loving forgiveness will continue to flow as it has already begun from them to their surviving son.
