I am not American, I’m French, catholic and pro-life.
Here, in France we have been praying for President Bush and the pro-life victory for four years. I remember when President Bush won, four years ago ; then, when he appointed John Roberts and Samuel Alito. One more judge… America, please don’t fail now. Of course, you may say : ‘what’s it got to do with you ?’ I think it is the point. The issue of abortion isn’t only America’s matter but it is the world’s matter. When the United States chooses a way, it affects the course of the world’s history.
If I were American and I didn’t find John McCain conservative enough, thinking of the way he served his country, I’d give him a chance to improve himself, he deserves it, doesn’t he ? Furthermore, everybody knows that his opponent would ruin all that has been accomplished for the pro-life cause for many years.
Besides, I would think of Sarah Palin. Could he have done a better choice ? What a wonderful woman ! When we learnt that Sarah Palin had a child with Down syndrome, it came as a bit of a shock, because the elder of our two daughters is in that case.
Moreover, we have prayed for John McCain for several months asking the intercession of Professor Jérôme Lejeune, a French geneticist professor who explained Down syndrome – that is actually trisomy 21 – and whose cause for canonization was opened one year ago. We’ve read his biography and, as far as we are concerned, it’s obvious he is a saint.
Here is the prayer (approved by the Catholic Church) we say every day :
God, who created man in your image and intended him to share your glory, we thank you for having granted to your Church the gift of professor Jérôme Lejeune, a distinguished servant of life. He knew how to place his immense intelligence and deep faith at the service of the defense of human life, especially unborn life, always seeking to treat and to cure. A passionate witness to truth and charity, he knew how to reconcile faith and reason in the sight of today’s world. By his intercession, and according to your will, we ask you to grant us the graces we implore (the pro-life victory for the United States and, at present, the victory for John McCain and Sarah Palin), hoping that he will soon become one of your saints. Amen.
So, when we heard that Sarah Palin had a little angel too, and when we learnt she was strongly pro-life, then we didn’t believe at all it was a matter of chance or accident. We saw Providence. We do believe there is a link. But, please, let there be no misunderstanding : we don’t mean it’s time to be sentimental about, there is simply too much at stake, it’s a matter of love. Love and life vs. hate and death.
That’s why, if we were American, my wife and I would not let Evil win ; we would proudly vote for the pro-life ticket McCain/Palin. God bless them.

Keep praying, dear brother. We need all the prayers we can get. Obama is going to be bad for the U.S. and when the U.S. is in trouble, that’s going to spell trouble for everyone else out there who is good.

If you mean a great number, of course not. But many than you think. Above all it isn’t PC to say it. Many people choose not to say what they really think.

The bset thing you can do is grab your family and emigrate to America. We could use more Frenchmen like you.
These socialist/communist Democrats are pushing not only abortion, but the most extreme and murderous, ungodly forms of abortion. . . AND they are poised to make we who are bitterly opposed to abortion in any form PAY our taxes for, in many cases, lazy women who are not only ungodly, but want to use abortion as a form of birth control as long as it is “free”. - I realize that America is a free country, and I also realize that I cannot FORCE any woman NOT to have an abortion.. and I do not imagine that I can cause abortion doctors not to practice. I also realize that it is NOT her place, either, to FORCE me to pay for it, and, thus become an active party to her ungodliness. Let HER pay for it and answer to God for herself about it, and let the “doctor” also answer to God. If she has to be financially responsible for paying for it as well, maybe after a while she will stop that method of lazy birth control.
I am done arguing with these liberal fence posts who seem just fine with an emerging communist government.
If they can’t see that things have only worsened - from a pretty good situation - have worsened rapidly under Pelosi and the Democrat controlled Congress. . . elected thanks to the help of the solid year of media attacks on President Bush. I thank President Bush for keeping us safe for the last 7 years since September 11, 2001. - May the Lord deliver us from the communist, Barack Hussein Obama, and from this miserable, elitist, snobby mainstream media here in a United States they do not deserve. Wake up, people!
We ARE “Atlas”, and it may well be close time to shrug if Obama launches into the high taxation he plans for the “rich”. (Not to push Ayn Rand all that much, but she had a point there.)
