The "new life" claimed by nearly forty million evangelicals today makes one wonder: if there is so much light in America, why is everything becoming so dark?
This statement implies a postmillennial hope that as the gospel has genuine influence in the lives of many people that there will be a corresponding, perceivable improvement in society in general.
