Was Palin the Result of a Praying Church?

"...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16

Is it all just a coincidence that Sarah Palin was picked for VP? Was it nothing but a smart political move? Or did God intervene in the mind of a man?

All across the nation Christians are beginning to wake up and press in with prayer and fasting.

Sept 28 to Oct 4 is a week set aside to pray and fast for our nation! Please consider joining with us that week for revival in America and the future of our nation!

John Hancock:

“In circumstances as dark as these, it becomes us, as Men and Christians, to reflect that whilst every prudent measure should be taken to ward off the impending judgments, …at the same time all confidence must be withheld from the means we use; and reposed only on that God rules in the armies of Heaven, and without His whole blessing, the best human counsels are but foolishness… Resolved; …Thursday the 11th of May…to humble themselves before God under the heavy judgments felt and feared, to confess the sins that have deserved them, to implore the Forgiveness of all our transgressions, and a spirit of repentance and reformation … …

Poor McCain. He’s getting overshadowed by his running mate.

I, for one, am praying that Americans will chose the right leader.

Many a Black church are likely saying the same for Obama.

Yeah, I was flipping through radio stations this morning and one black station out of Indy was blaming the current Republican leadership for all the hurricanes coming towards the US.

I believe that God sets up whoever our leader is. Sometimes, He does this in a way that corresponds to our prayers, and sometimes He says no to our prayers. This election, America has a true choice between good and evil. If we choose poorly, God will likely set up a government to our judgment. If wisely, He may have mercy. But the fact America is even in this condition is a testimony to His patience.

I do not believe he is. No matter how much we talk about her in excitement, he picked her. She reinforces his maverick presidency. She allows him to do his job—attract the independents.

I agree, but remember, Moses changed God's mind. God was ready to destroy Israel at one point, but Moses stood in the gap and changed God's mind.

Jer. 18:7-8 “If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from it’s evil, I will repent of the evil I intended to do to it.”

Of course we're responsible. Don't you know about Karl Rove’s hurricane machine?

I pray every day that God will find some mercy for this nation and not let us suffer under either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton as president.

I will say this - we have heard and read that Sarah Palin is an evangelical Christian and if that is so, and if God did put her in this position, He did it for a reason and we might very well see the prayers of millions across this country answered.

It may be that Barack Obama needs to make sure they keep the desk dusted in his Senate office.

A Day of Fasting, Humiliation and Prayer

Whats with the humiliation?

Should folks listen to Savage so he can shout at them and call them idiots?

That has to be pretty humiliating.

If there is any doubt that Providence may have plated a hand in Sarah Palin entering the World Stage, lets look at a simple fact.

A little over a week ago except for a handful of us political Junkies, it was Sarah Who? for almost anyone you would speak to. Now, 8 days latter she is Hot Hot Hot News. Her acceptance speech pulled 40 million. Thats more than The American Idol Final, the Academy Awards, or Obamas speech. Sarah stuff is selling like hotcakes, the Republican Party has not been this excited since 1984, and there is a whole new generation of crossover voters, that just may top in numbers the Reagan Democrats.

Now that is Davine intervention.
