I have a book about St. Joseph compiled by French Benedictines that beautifully described the tradition that when St. Joseph died, he went there to announce the good news that their wait was coming to an end, and that when Our Lord arrived to preach the Gospel to them and bring them to Heaven, St. Joseph was the first one to “make the jump.”
