I don’t see where it say you have to be baptized in order to be saved

Read the article.

Eph 2:8,9

.. teaches that both faith and works come from grace of God alone. That is the Catholic teaching. Eph 2 does not teach faith alone, -- no scripture teaches that, and James 2 expressly denies this false doctrine invented by Luther.

Paul is talking to the church about getting along [in Romans 2:6-7]

That is your spin, and it is inaccurate. Romans 2 contains a clear and in context statement of the fact that we are judged by our works. Other scripture to the same effect is available upon request.

Rom 3:23, Rom 5:8

... is not in dispute.

What article is it you want me to read?

Eph 2:8-9 “FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH—AND THIS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD—NOT BY WORKS, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST”.

Might I reiterate “not by works”. How is it you can’t see what’s in front of you in black and white? Work means you have to put forth effort. Grace is something you don’t earn, and it’s a gift (free) from God. You should be rejoicing in the fact that you don’t have to earn your way to heaven.

I don’t know about Rom 2:6-7. I don’t recall this, but I’ll double check myself.

Rom 3:23, Rom 5:8. Finally we have something we agree on.
