John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I don’t see where it say you have to be baptized in order to be saved.

I read Matt 10:22 to be “All men will hate you because of Me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

It just means to stay faithful. You by no means earn your salvation! I think anyone who believes they have to work for their salvation, grieves the Holy Spirit. If you have to work for it, why did Christ die on the Cross? You are leaving Christ on that cross in perpetuity when you believe you have to earn it. Look up grace. Forget that, I’ll tell you. Grace is God’s unmerited favor. And unmerited means unearned.

Eph 2:8,9 “For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through FAITH—AND THIS IS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT of God—NOT BY WORKS, so that no one can boast.”

Romans 2:6,7 Paul is talking to the church about getting along. We, as christians, do good works, it’s part of the fruits of the spirit. But our salvation is NOT based on our good works, and for good reason too. Because we will never be good enough.

Rom 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

I thank God for being so merciful and loving.

Rom 5:8 “But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Read the article.

Eph 2:8,9

.. teaches that both faith and works come from grace of God alone. That is the Catholic teaching. Eph 2 does not teach faith alone, -- no scripture teaches that, and James 2 expressly denies this false doctrine invented by Luther.

Paul is talking to the church about getting along [in Romans 2:6-7]

That is your spin, and it is inaccurate. Romans 2 contains a clear and in context statement of the fact that we are judged by our works. Other scripture to the same effect is available upon request.

Rom 3:23, Rom 5:8

... is not in dispute.
