Somewhere along the line Christianity was hijack by a bunch who at some point decided to call themselves ‘catholic’. Then they declared that they were the only Christians.[citation needed]

You can say it as many times as you like, but without some proof (contemporaries of the Early Church Fathers would be most appropriate), that doesn't make it true.
