We Catholics will be saved if we follow the rules - God’s rules. Self-styled “Christians” tell me they are already saved. No matter what they do they are saved. Pretty easy!
They think life and attaining heaven is like a snap college course - an easy “A”. And, yes these “Christians” do go on and on - they think converting a Catholic is a real feather in their cap. They are pests. So go back and immerse yourself in Jimmie’s “Bible”. Imagine some bored guy decided one day to rewrite the Bible because the revealed word of God wasn’t good enough for him! He knew better! Now that’s chutzpah! And some people buy into it. P.T. Barnum was correct.

I read the New King James Bible. It’s plenty sufficient for me. Yes, I am saved because I followed God’s rules through His Son who died on the cross for us. It DOES matter what we do. I can’t understand why you folks think we can sin and get away with it any more than you can. We certainly cannot The Holy Spirit convicts me of sin and I have to repent and ask for God’s forgiveness, which He freely gives, and then cleanses me of my unrighteousness. I don’t have to go to a priest, I go right to HIM.

I don’t consider salvation as a feather in my cap, no matter who it is. I can’t save anyone. That’s God’s domain. We can speak the truth of the gospel to people but we can’t save anyone, not even ourselves. Only GOD....
