If you want to be on the Catholic Theology for non-Catholics list but are not on it already, or if you are on it but do not want to be, let me know either publicly or privately.

This is an ecumenical thread. I invite all positive opinions and questions, but discourage negative comments. I chose this format because this is not about theology, but about an important man of remarkable intellect, character and influence. At the same time this provides an example of one of great popes of the Catholic Church living among us today.
