Obviously so or they wouldn’t fantasize so much about praying to Mary as any kind of meaningful or effective exercise.

My experience as a life long Catholic is that relatively few American Catholics look to Our Lady, for help in their prayers.

I would imagine your experience doesn't include the flood of immigrants from South and Central America.

This is considered the most important religious festival in Mexico And on this day the entire country will express the strong pride that they have in their patronage, their history and their traditions.

Note the emphasis on Mary.
