Gabriel's words informed Mary that God had declared she would carry the Christ child to term.
In the event that some "theologian" makes the claim that "they sought her consent" it might be worthwhile to quote Scripture.
Luke 1:
[31] And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.
"sought her consent"?
