Marysecretary, we are mothers. Please don't condemn us for thinking Mother Mary is so special. She was an amazing example of obedience to God. She was with Our Savior from the beggining to the end. What is most incredible is this mother saw her son tortured, spat on, and killed, on the cross. As a mother, one can only imagine how it must have been for Mary to meet her beloved son, her baby, covered with blood and saliva. Only a mother who has sufferred for her children could begin to understand that there is no human suffferring greater than hers.

I truly felt her presence when I needed it. Like an angel. God sends us what we need, when we need it. I wouldn't dare tell you how to worship. I only ask that you have understanding and compassion for your sisters and brothers in Christ, Catholics.

Don’t let them get to you. The Blessed Mother is a very special gift that Jesus left us. I don’t care how many people post on here trying to say she is not. I have felt her as well in my darkest hours. She points the way back to her Son. They will never understand and maybe that is the way He wants it.

I do have understanding and compassion for Catholics. I know what you have been taught about Mary and how you revere her. As a mother, I too understand how she suffered. I have no problem with that. I have a problem with the fact that way too many good Catholics put her on an equal keel with Jesus, our Saviour. Yes, she was His mother and we know she was blessed by God, but that’s where it ends. She was a sinner saved by grace, like you and I. She died and was buried, like you and I will be. I know it’s against your teachings and I’m sorry that what I say doesn’t agree with your viewpoint about her.
