You are correct. Someone posted to me that “co” just means “with.” In the matter of Redemption, even “with” is an extreme position. But actually, “co-” is an equality thing. Co-presidents and co-directors, etc., have equality in office. If not, it would be vice presidents and vice director, etc. They don’t change this because they have actually exalted Mary to a position of equality with Christ.

Sadly, I haven’t seen tons of evidence that some folks think objective reality is properly in the same universe with the RC edifice.
If we had decided that co-redeemer was a good thing to say officially about Mary, we could mean the junior relationship. You'd have an open and shut case if we started calling GOD co-redeemer. Until then, you only have one of two choices and many, many grounds to think we go with the junior choice.
