Since I don’t believe the saints have the authority in heaven to do that, if they are even in heaven at this point before the judgement, I guess I would have to say she’s right.

Well to be absent from the body is to be with Christ, according to Paul, and I know that you will agree that believers are “with Christ”. None of us know, however, just what this means

Because you believe something doesn't make it true.

You are limiting God by saying that it's impossible that God might be moved by the entreaties of his saints in heaven.
