Now now . . . in such discussions, it’s hazardous to put too much stock in expectations of logical reasonableness! LOL.

Particularly when you're dealing with sola scriptura protties, raised to be rabid anti-Catholic, frothing at the mouth obsessives.

Have some compassion. Life is difficult for those whose only amusement is to be anti-something else. Never pro, never positive, never creative, since it's all but a mouthing of what they have learned in their religion.

Imagine that you belong to a religion that was born of another, whose very existence relies upon the repudiation of that original Church, whose very credibility hinges on the constant denigration of another.

Where do you get the idea we’re raised to hate Catholics? Not true. When I was born again, I knew there were differences in our theology but until I got on here, I never realized how much difference there really is. My folks never sat me down and told me all about those wicked Catholics. It would probably be more the other way around, the Catholics didn’t want anything to do with protestants.
