John, the longest living Apostle, was entrusted with the care of Mary. He wrote the last book of the NT. The Apostolic era ended with his death. He never wrote about Mary and her supposed assumption. He was either incompetent and did not know, or it did not occur.Excellent point. I didn't even think of that. :)
