Mormons can not and will not answer your question because Mormonism has been, is and always will be a cult which teaches and believes that Jesus Christ was NOT God from all eternity, that he "became" a god and Mormonism teaches and believes that we can become gods too, just like Jesus supposedly did. Because of it’s multitude of errant heretical doctrines, Mormonism has never been recognized as Christian or Christianity.

No matter how much Mormons try to obfuscate the issue by saying that they believe in and teach the same Jesus as the Jesus of the Bible and of traditional Christianity they do not. President Hinckley was correct and honest when he spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints “do not believe in the traditional Christ” when he answered: “No, I don't. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times.

He together with His Father, appeared to the boy Joseph smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the nature of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages." (Deseret News, Church News section, Salt Lake City, Utah, week ending June 20, 1998, p. 7)

President Hinckley admitted that the Jesus of Mormonism is not the traditional Christ of Christianity but the false christ as “revealed” by Joseph Smith and the false teachings of Mormonism that have been “revealed in this the “Dispensation of the Fullness of Times” by Mormon “prophets”. The “god” of Mormonism is not the God of the Bible

Direct Quotes from Mormon Leaders and Sources Regarding God:

God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. (LDS) prophet, president and seer Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3, 1844

The father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as Man’s; the Son also...
(LDS) prophet, president and seer Joseph Smith, Doctrine and Covenants, Vol. 130, p. 22, 1843

What is God? He is a material organized intelligence, possessing both body and parts. He is in the form of a man, and is, in fact, of the same species... This being cannot occupy two distinct places at once, therefore he cannot be everywhere present.” (LDS) prophet, president and seer Joseph Smith, The Millennial Star, Vol. 6

It appears ridiculous to the world, under their darkened and erroneous traditions, that God has once been a finite being... (LDS) prophet, president and seer Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 7, p. 333

More recent Mormon quotes:

“You and I—what helpless creatures are we! Such limited power we have, and how little can we control the wind and the waves and the storms! We remember the numerous scriptures which, concentrated in a single line, were stated by a former prophet, Lorenzo Snow: ‘As man is, God once was; and as God is, man may become.’” (President Spencer W. Kimball in “Our Great Potential” from the April 1977 Priesthood Session of General Conference)

Gordon B. Hinckley former Mormon President and prophet had this to say: (Conference Report, Oct. 1994)

“On the other hand, the whole design of the gospel is to lead us onward and upward to greater achievement, even, eventually, to godhood. This great possibility was enunciated by the Prophet Joseph Smith in the King Follet sermon (see Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 342-62) and emphasized by President Lorenzo Snow. It is this grand and incomparable concept: As God now is, man may become!” (See The Teachings of Lorenzo Snow, comp. Clyde J. Williams, Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1984, p. 1)

Mormonism teaches that God the Father has a body of flesh and bones (Doctrine and Covenants. 130:22) and that Jesus is a created being. It teaches that Jesus was begotten in heaven as one of God’s spirit children (See the Book, Jesus the Christ, by James Talmage, p. 8). This false doctrine is in direct contrast to the biblical teaching that Jesus Christ is fully God in flesh (John 1:1, 14), that He is eternal (John 1:1, 2, 15), uncreated, yet born on earth (Col. 1:15), and the creator of all (John 1:3; Col. 1;16-17).  Jesus cannot be both creator of everything and a created being. He can not be created and not created at the same time.

Though Mormonism teaches that Jesus is god in flesh, it teaches that he is “a” god in flesh, one of three separate and distinct gods that comprise the office of the Trinity (Articles of Faith, by Talmage, pp. 35-40). These three gods are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. This false doctrine is in direct contradiction of the biblical doctrine that there is only one God (Isaiah 44:6, 8; 45:5).

The above Mormon teachings regarding God and Christ are heretical and stand in stark contrast to the teachings of the Bible and of biblical historic Christianity regarding God and Christ. These false Mormon doctrines have come about as a direct result of the purported “new revelation” concerning Christ and God which has been supposedly revealed to Mormon “prophets” in “the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times.”

Mormons can not and will not answer your question because...

That does seem to be a pattern here, doesn't it?

These people dodge questions and change the subject faster than you can say Pay Le Ale. They are actually taught not to answer questions. They will claim that we are not worthy to be answered as they don't want to cast their pearls before swine.

We have been told that they are going to be spamming the forum with articles favorable to their religion as a means of "Hosing off the pigs", but invariably they post the articles under "Ecumenic" or "Caucus" designations and refuse to discuss the details of their religion other than in platitudes or spam from some pro-LDS site that plays loose with the facts and tries to obfuscate the truth behind a sea of confusion.
