Please tell us where we stand here. Examples welcome, but I'm not sure that actual names can be used when quoting another FReeper, so date and thread title may be better.

Most people aren't aware of the differences (between Protestants and Catholics) because they've never really inquired about them. Yep. That's why this forum is so helpful and informative. We wouldn't have known half of what we know now about the RCC if we hadn't entered into these discussions.
As God wills. 8~)

As a point of curiosity, apparently the CCC that the Vatican website has is simply the result of the work that Saint Charles Borromeo did for their website http://www.scborromeo.org/ IOW, it seems to just be a copy of the http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/ccc_toc.htm and all the contents therein.
So, IOW, theres no reason, if anyone doesnt like the Vaticans background image, to try various ways to block it. One can simply go to St. Borromeos website and read it there.
Won't do my friend. It is missing the footnotes. You are open to being accused of using an unauthentic source.
You don't want to open that can of worms. :)

Becoming
a new man as opposed to a god or God, is not the same thing
Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

The RCC catechism is over 900 pages.
My King James Bible is 719 pages.
Lol. Shows priorities.

Lol. Shows priorities. Actually, it shows scholarship. That intimidates many people.

Although I'll point out that if page count correlates with poor priorities,
here is a copy of the ICR that runs 1310 pages.

Why don't you quit castigtegating her for her ignorance of that portion of the Catechism, and respond to some of the explanations offered on this thread for it, like CTrent's post #498, for example.
That's not what they're fussing about. I would accept you as a "neutral" observer if you had noted they both, and the "one line hit and run busybody" have carried the entire thing too far. As it is, you obviously have "chosen sides". Too bad.

I think it is more that it is amazing the confusion that has been caused by the thousands of quarelling Protestant groups, none of which, Doctrinally and Theologically agree on anything.
Any pretense of objectivity on your part is null and void.
Apologetics 101 and nothing else.

No church uses the "Institutes of the Christian Religion" as dogma of its faith."
It's one book written by one man.
Unlike the catechism of the RCC which all Catholics are required to believe.
And as pointed out, the RCC catechism is over 200 pages longer than the Bible itself.
Sounds funnier every time I type it.

Jean Cauvin was a lawyer. In Geneva, he tried to make himself into a little Caesar (so he was kicked out).

Here is what every Protestant I know agrees on...
"But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." -- Romans 10:6-9
"Be not afraid; only believe." -- Mark 5:36

That is only part of Mark 5:36.
THIS is Mark 5:36:
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
