I'm pretty certain you are too young to remember the years of "propaganda/preparation" preceding the declaration of the Bodily Assumption Of Mary. I remember it well.

Not really.
I’ve just been incredibly MORE CONVINCED
by all the gyrations and rationalizations and
DOUBLE STANDARD pontifications hereon
that the deification is a lot worse; a lot more cloaked in denial and a lot more deeply entrenched as well as a lot more wide-spread
than I’d ever guessed.
And the numbers of RC’s who’ve gone way overboard convincing me of that hereon are more than 2 or 3.
