I read the article. Otherwise, I have no interest in threads like this other than to post one or two parting shots. That's all they deserve.

Protestantism is defined by opposition to the Catholic Church. If the Catholic Church disappeared, so would most of the Protestan ones. Their raison d'etre would cease to be.
