***Rome encourages its members to...

1) “fall down to the stock of a tree”***

No. We do not fall down to anything.

***2) view its priestcraft as “another Christ”***

No. We understand that the clergy acts as the substitute for Christ until He returns, under His authority. Your Bible may have been more severely truncated that I have previously believed.

***3) believe Mary is a “co-Redeemer” and a “dispensatrix of all grace”***

When Jesus gave Mary to all of us as our new Eve, it seems to be rude to reject her.

***4) “worship the Eucharist”***

We worship God; you may not but we do.

***5) embrace the “vain janglings” of the concocted fictions of purgatory and limbo and baptismal regeneration***

Christians have a place and hope for all men.

***6) consider decaying relics as talismen of holiness***

St. Peter was able to cure people by casting his shadow on them or having them touch his robe. I understand that you have removed yourselves from this line, and this theology.

***7) pray to dead people***

Christians believe in the communion of saints, which includes all those who have gone before. I understand that you have removed yourselves from this theology.

***8) acknowledge other mediators between God and man other than the one mediator, Christ Jesus***

I guess that those who bring the prayers (in Revelation) to God handle only Catholic prayers.

***9) consider the pope as “infallible” in matters of religion when no man is infallible but Christ...***

Name some of the infallible pronouncements.

***Meanwhile, we Bible-believing Christians are content to receive the word of God and the power of God, as we have for 2,000 years...***

Your theology is hardly older than I am. Kind of a Baskin Robbins - the flavour of the week.

Regarding alter Christus, here it is being distorted into the accusation that we believe priests are literally Christs, each of them fresh messiahs.

As part of The Game, as you may well recall, we are not entitled to say what we believe, we are to be told what we believe (true or not) and condemned for it.

As I said and you have just proven, you fail to post any Scripture for your doctrines of men.

I understand that you have removed yourselves from this theology.

If I had cut myself off from so many of God's gifts, I suppose I'd be inconsolably bitter too.
