About the reformed Egyptian scoffing... Egyptian hieroglyphs developed simultaneously with Egyptian Coptic, which was used extensively in religious texts. Even Coptic has adapted, as I will demonstrate. Both coptic, and unknown forms of the same have been found throughout ancient Judea. I think you might find a comparison of these two texts side by side interesting.
