I have successfully completed 60 years of living using the Bible, the Word of God, as my guide ...
It is a Lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path ..Psalm 119:105 ...
I have never felt that I was short changed and/or needed more than the Bible...
It is unfortunate that you did not find what you were looking for in the Bible all those years ago...
however, if you had been looking for Jesus, the Son of God, you would have found Him, right there, in the Bible..

For me,not even the most important question about God and his dealings with us, the question of how we are saved, can be agreed upon by man looking in the Bible.
God still talks to His Church today, and he uses His Prophet, President Monson.

Well said. I second that notion. I find it amazing that I can study Scripture, have fellowship with God and rejoice in what He reveals from His Word, yet amazingly when I’m exposed to those who constantly denigrate His Word or attempt to add meanings not present in His Word, I have no joy in the meanings they promote. Yet wehn I return to Him, and simply allow Him to guide me in His Word, joy returns and He is always true.
