What would Jesus do?
He might go and worship beside the Mormons, embrace them and perhaps enlighten with love rather than subjective Bible scholarship.
“He might go and worship beside the Mormons, embrace them and perhaps enlighten with love rather than subjective Bible scholarship.”
Would he? Only after an extraordinary act of faith.
Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, [thou] Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Mat 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Mat 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast [it] to dogs.
Mat 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
>Mormons and some other, smaller unorthodox churches are used as a negative example by clergyIve seen ministers hold study groups on Mormonismto elevate their own ministry in the eyes of parishioners.

Lets look at what Jesus DID do, eh? He would preach to them, and to those that refused to see, He would often rebuke. And who He rebuked, He did not mince words with!
In Matthew 7:22” Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’23”And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
How about John 8:43”Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. 44” You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
45”But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.
This should make all who believe in Him tremble in fear. These are words that one does not want to hear from his/her Maker and Savior! DId Jesus just sit and pray with the Pharisees, who were even using the proper scriptures, in peace and ecumenicalism? Or are you reading a different set of Scriptures?
Yeah kind of like the apostle Paul went and coddled the Judaizers who only differed on the doctrine of circumcision. And those moneychangers who weren't doing anything wrong! Just minding their own business!
But they'd toss Him out, saying, "Who are YOU?"
