Why would an "atheist" say "suck it Jesus"? Insulting a being in whom one does not believe is a nonsense, no? This tells us that this remark was intended not for Jesus, but for those who believe in him; Christians. Ergo it was calculated to give offense.

Welcome to the new America.

To publicly blaspheme Jesus is a sign of enlightenment and liberation. To transgress the rules of political correctness is a career ender.

Osama bin Laden soon come.

You know - you're right. As the Book of Ecclesiastes reminds us - "everything old is new again".

You are absolutely right. Why would she tell Jesus to “suck it” when she believes he doesn’t even exist? It’s either she believes he exists and has great disdain for him, or she was just doing this to get a rise out of Christians.

Sadly, it is considered cool to badmouth Jesus today. You are praised if you are of a different faith such as Buddhism or Islam or of no faith, and you are bashed if you are a devout Christian.

Kathy Griffin is another Catholic gone far astray. She needs a lot of prayers that she finds God sometime before the end of her life.
