Are Elohim and Jesus one and the same? Can men in the LDS become like Elohim? When Jesus said, "The Father and I are One" what did He mean?

I have been studying the LDS for over thirty years...I am not ignorant of your teaching.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God; He said so and that’s good enough for me. I believe the Bible. Jesus laid it all out there for us.

Do you even know what Elohim means and where it came from? Elohim is plural first of all.
